Asset Management

How ASUME tracks systems and information assets. A formal IT asset-management programme is not yet independently verified.

Asset tracking

ASUME is building an inventory that identifies and tracks information assets across the organisation, with business and technical ownership for material systems.

A comprehensive, real-time asset register reviewed on a fixed six-month cycle is still being formalized and is not independently verified.

Asset classification

ASUME is defining how information assets are categorised by business value, sensitivity, and criticality so that protection can match the asset.

A formal classification scheme published as part of an Information Security Management System is still being built out and is not independently verified.

Asset lifecycle

A published asset-lifecycle standard — covering assignment, use, transfer, and retirement of hardware and software — is a roadmap item.

Until it is published, device and system handling follows internal operational practice and is not independently verified.

IT Asset Management programme

A dedicated IT asset-management (ITAM) programme for centralized tracking of hardware, software, device assignment, and licence compliance is a roadmap item.

Listing it here is not a representation that a dedicated ITAM system is in production today.
