Objectives
Revenue
The Revenue objective helps revenue teams identify which companies matter, why they matter, when to act, and what action to take — using structured company understanding instead of isolated signals or generic scores.
Selecting Revenue does not create a separate understanding of a company. It changes what ASUME evaluates and which outputs it produces from the maintained understanding.
What Revenue evaluates
How ASUME applies Revenue
Maintained understanding → Revenue → Revenue outputs
ASUME first forms a structured understanding of your company and of the companies in the selected market. It identifies needs, capabilities, constraints, priorities, and possible relationships between them.
It then evaluates those companies against the Revenue objective. The result is not simply a score. Teams can inspect why a company is relevant, which evidence supports that conclusion, how their capabilities relate to the company's needs, and what remains uncertain.
Capabilities
Matches
Revenue teams do not need an unlimited list of companies. They need a defensible reason to focus on a particular company at a particular time.
ASUME Matches evaluates the relationship between your capabilities and another company's current state. Each match explains why the company was surfaced, which capabilities are relevant, which evidence supports the reasoning, and where further discovery is required.
Example: A logistics company is expanding temperature-controlled deliveries into new regions. Its job posts mention validation expertise, its documentation describes inconsistent regional procedures, and its customer material emphasizes delivery integrity. ASUME connects these needs to a supplier's validated packaging and regional compliance capabilities.
Call Review
Revenue teams improve when every customer conversation contributes to a shared learning loop. Without a consistent review process, valuable information remains inside individual calls.
ASUME Call Review analyses a conversation across dimensions such as talk balance, discovery depth, question quality, pain identification, objection handling, buyer engagement, and next-step clarity. It connects the conversation to ASUME's understanding of the seller, the buyer, and the relevant offering.
Example: During a call, a buyer briefly mentions that regulatory reviews delay every product launch. The seller moves to another topic. Call Review identifies the statement as an important pain signal, connects it to the seller's compliance workflow, and suggests a follow-up question.
Training
Training prepares people for a specific account, conversation, or motion. Reps train on your company and on the companies they want to approach, so they can learn what each side does, understand where they fit, and ask ASUME anything they need to prepare.
Preparation stays grounded in maintained understanding rather than generic advice. A person can see what each company appears to need or offer, which capabilities are relevant to the conversation, what is well supported, and what remains uncertain.
Example: A representative preparing for Northwind can first ask ASUME to explain their own company, then ask for the best way to approach that account. The answer draws on both understandings: the customer's current need and the capability that already fits it.
Workflows
New business
Go-to-market teams use Revenue to determine where an opportunity exists, when the available evidence supports action, why the company may be relevant, and how to begin a credible conversation.
The objective is not to keep every representative busy with hundreds of accounts. It is to concentrate attention on the companies where there is a clear and explainable reason to engage.
Expansion
Expansion teams apply the same understanding to existing customers. ASUME can help identify emerging needs, changes in priorities, capabilities the customer has not yet adopted, and evidence that a broader relationship may now be relevant.
This enables teams to approach expansion as a response to the customer's changing situation rather than as a generic upsell.
Extending Revenue
ASUME is expanding the Revenue objective across additional workflows and developer interfaces. These extensions are planned.
